Long Beach Lighthouse

Long Beach sketch

The "robot light" of Long Beach went into service in 1949. The light was built to mark the San Pedro Middle Breakwater of Long Beach Harbor. The light was designed from the start to be unmanned, automated, and controlled electronically from the LA Harbor light.
